Boeing 377

After World War II, Boeing offered a new four-engine plane with a pressurized cabin based on its C-97 Stratofreighter military transport plane and the B-29 Superfortress bomber. The Boeing 377 Stratocruiser plane had a distinctive “double-bubble” shape which gave it two levels for passengers: 100 on the main deck plus 14 in the lower deck lounge or a smaller number of passenger seat plus berths for long flights.
