Dewey Mosier was an avid craftsman who enjoyed making and flying model airplanes as a member of the Benton County Radio Control Club. He built this radio-controlled 1/8 scale model of his Stinson L-5 Sentinel from scratch.

The Stinson L-5 Sentinel was a liaison aircraft, small and usually unarmed, which was sometimes called the "Flying Jeep." The plane had a wingspan of 34 feet and cruised at 112 miles per hour over a normal range of 275 miles.
