Dolly Dingle Paper Doll

Girls too liked to imagine flying off to unusual places. Illustrator Grace Drayton created Dolly Dingle paper dolls which appeared in the magazine Pictoral Review beginning in 1913. Dolly travelled to many foreign countries and met children there who appeared in costumes of their culture. After traveling by steamship in her earlier adventures, by 1932 she was wearing a cap with goggles and flying in an open cockpit plane.
